At around 2 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, a fire broke out a liquid storage facility in Crocket, CA, causing two storage tanks housing 250,000 gallons of ethanol to explode. The infrastructure connecting all the tanks was now damaged and spilled fuel posed a risk of reigniting the fire.
